You have 30 days from the date of delivery to return most items purchased from Lapidary Hub for a refund or exchange. Returns within this window are free — we cover the cost of return shipping for eligible items, so you don’t pay to send a product back to us.

What can be returned

Most lapidary equipment returns are accepted if:

  • The item is unused, in its original condition, and in its original packaging
  • You have proof of purchase (order number or receipt)
  • The return is initiated within 30 days of delivery

This includes change-of-mind returns, not just faulty items — if a saw, tumbler, or grinding unit isn’t the right fit for your workshop, you can send it back within the window.

What can’t be returned

A small number of items can’t be accepted as lapidary equipment returns, for hygiene, safety, or practical reasons, including:

  • Used consumables (grits, polishing compounds, dops, adhesives) once opened
  • Items damaged through misuse rather than a manufacturing fault
  • Custom or special-order equipment, where applicable (clearly marked on the product page if so)

Faulty or incorrect items

If an item arrives faulty, damaged in transit, or different from what you ordered, this isn’t a change-of-mind return — it’s a fault, and different rules apply in your favour. Contact us as soon as possible at sales@lapidaryhub.com with your order number and a description (and photo, if possible) of the issue. We will arrange a repair, replacement, or full refund, in line with your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

As an Australian retailer, every product we sell comes with consumer guarantees that exist independently of any policy on this page — these guarantees can’t be excluded, restricted, or modified by anything written here.

How to start a return

  1. Email sales@lapidaryhub.com with your order number and the reason for return.
  2. We’ll confirm eligibility and send you a free return shipping label or instructions.
  3. Pack the item securely in its original packaging where possible.
  4. Once we receive and inspect the returned item, we’ll process your refund or exchange.

Refund timelines

Exchanges

Why our lapidary equipment returns policy is more generous than most

Plenty of online retailers only accept returns for genuine faults, leaving you stuck with a saw or tumbler that simply wasn’t the right size or power for your workshop. We don’t think that’s fair when you’re buying machinery you can’t physically test before delivery. That’s why our returns extend to change-of-mind purchases as well as faults, within the same 30-day, free-shipping window.
